Andy Marris, CEO, to speak at Thames Gateway Forum

1st November 2008

Andrew Marris, CEO of dcarbon8, will be speaking at the Thames Gateway Forum panel debate, ‘Opportunities in a low carbon Thames Gateway’, on the region’s potential to lead the shift in the UK to a low carbon economy. Mr. Marris will offer insight into the impact, as well as the opportunities and challenges, of embodied carbon management in the building of the UK’s first Eco-Region.

The Thames Gateway Forum, now in its fifth year at ExCeL London, is dedicated to bringing together the organisations involved in regenerating the Thames Gateway. With over 200 exhibitors involved in Europe’s largest regeneration project, the Forum will take place on 26th and 27th November 2008 and will focus on delivery of the Thames Gateway project.

There will be keynote speeches from leading figures in Government and business including Hazel Blears (invited), Secretary of State, CLG and Sir Bob Kerslake, chief executive designate, Homes and Communities Agency. The programme will also include fourteen, 70-minute conference modules to address key issues in more detail. Some of the topics covered are investment, schools, infrastructure and the realities of delivering zero-carbon homes in the Gateway.

To learn more about the Thames Gateway Forum, register and reserve a place for the Opportunities in a Low Carbon Thames Gateway or any  of the conference modules, please visit the Thames Gateway Forum website.
